Wow, it’s been a while. How are we all doing? I feel slightly guilty I haven’t posted in a while but my life shifted recently.y.
How have I been… well I’ve been really busy. Let’s just put it this way. I haven’t watched a lot of TV – which for me is a tell that I’m REALLY busy.
I started my MBA at Ryerson which is very exciting but on top of some things going on in my personal life, in order to prioritize school – I had to drop some things.
You know my life is a bit full when I haven’t had the time to sit down and watch my shows. It’s a telltale sign I haven’t had time to relax or spend time doing the things that I want to do.
I’m really looking forward to October – I think I’ll have a bit more ‘me time’ and I’m hoping to get back to posting more regularly leading into the holiday season.
That all being said, let’s catch you all up on what I have had a chance to watch.
Best Bets
Sex Education
I loved this show from the beginning. It is still as wonderful, as delightful, and as warm as ever. The character development of our old favs (ADAM!!!), the introduction of new characters (LOVED Cal, loved-to-hate Hope), and of course our beloved mother-son duo (and their changing dynamics) just made this show shine this season. With all the stress in my life this season, this show was such a cozy respite when I needed it the most. I savoured this show, watching an episode or two each weekend and it was the perfect slow burn I needed. I cannot wait for season four.
Glow Up Season 3
If you want a relaxing, background show that is actually quite fun to look up at every once and a while, this is it. I love this show. The looks are stunning, the British accents are calming, and the overall vibe of this show is perfect. Ding-Dong it’s a 10/10
Below Deck: Med
You all know I love Below Deck. I had this season in my ‘okay’ category last post, but it’s since been upgraded because the drama is now coming in hot. I have a lot of thoughts on the cast this season… I might have to update my rankings of the Below Deck crew members…
Ok shows, but not great
Bachelor In Paradise
I love the Bachelor… but I’m bored. BIP is too long and too much. They’ve lost me. I’m like 4 episodes behind and I’m already debating skipping the last few. I just want to skip to Michelle’s season. It’s just the same drama over and over.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
I’m into this season of RHOBH. The Erika Jayne drama is a lot and I’m here for it. I’m just not into the rich ladies during Covid thing. Watching them galvant while their staff are all in masks just feels icky. So it’s a split show for me – I love it, I hate it. I can’t wait for the reunion specials.
Skip It
Outer Banks Season Two.
I begrudgingly watched season one, decided to start season two because why not, but then nothing kept me in it. I’m so over this show. It’s fun for teens, but it’s not the best one out there.
Rewatch central
One Tree Hill
I’m still actively listening to and LOVING the One Tree Hill podcast, Drama Queens. Those women are 10/10 phenomenal. I’ve been spending time driving up and down to my cottage for some family stuff, and I often put on an episode while I’m up there just to have some background noise on. Well I’m now at the end of season one and cannot wait to keep going. I own seasons 1,3,4 and 7 on DVD. Random but that’s what we’re working with – so I’ll skip over s2 and jump into s3 next week.
Gilmore Girls
It’s fall. It’s Gilmore Girls season. I’m starting on S1 as per usual, but I don’t know… I’m not *as* into it this year as I have been in past years. I think I might pick up Luke’s aka Scott Patterson’s ‘I Am All In’ podcast to fall in love with this show again in the way that I’m doing Drama Queens.
Greek
I was up at my cousin’s cottage for Charlie’s birthday in late August and we were looking for something fun to watch. I was cruising on Disney+ and saw this show and immediately wanted to show them this. The boys are in university and this was the ‘univeristy’ show of my generation. They loved it. Cappie is just as endearing as ever. I’m excited to watch some more episodes with them this Thanksgiving 🙂
