What I watched in June 2021

I’ve been studying for the GMAT and prepping my MBA applications this month, so I haven’t been blogging as much as I’d like, but I thought I’d start a new monthly tradition doing mini-reviews on all the shows I’ve watched in the month.

So this is *everything* I watched in June 2021.

Best Bets:

The Parisian Agency: Exclusive Properties
This was my favourite show of the month. Absolutely devoured this show. This show is about a family of real estate agents and focuses on the parents, the grandmother, and the four brothers, as they sell luxury properties in Paris and the surrounding areas. It is beautifully shot has a beautiful cast, and takes place in a beautiful city with beautiful houses. It’s a 10/10 must-watch. My only concern is with the way the parents handle one of the son’s announcements. I don’t want to spoil it if you haven’t seen it, but I wasn’t impressed.

Lupin: Part 2
I’m on a French TV kick and I’m not mad about it. Lupin part two was FANTASTIC. I loved part one and part two lived up to the hype. I stayed up until 1 am the day it came out watching this show because it’s that good – it’s one of those shows where you just can’t stop watching. There is going to be a third part and I’m so excited.

The Bachelorette
You all know I love this show. I’m here for Katie. I love the new dynamic with the past bachelorettes as her guides. It’s fun. It feels fresh and I’m here for it.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht S2
Probably the best season of Below Deck yet and that is saying something. It was a phenomenal season of television and the bar is now HIGH for every other season. I think Glen has moved up in my BD power ranking.

High School Musical The Musical The Series s2
I loved the first season of this show, I’m really enjoying S2. I’m behind but I’ll catch up in July. It’s a bit weird to see Olivia in this show now, she really blew up between seasons and it feels like she’s just miles ahead of her cast, plus it’s so hard to see her and Josh act like they’re in love. Cause we know they are not.

Starstruck
I am halfway through this new rom-com show and I’m very into it. The basic premise is that an average girl meets and starts dating a celebrity. It’s a classic trope and I’m INTO IT. Highly recommend watching this one.

RHOBH
After a full year and a bit of lockdown, I’m finally all caught up on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and just in time for all the Erika Jayne drama. Thank you Bravo for being here for me throughout this trying time and thanks to all the housewives for all the drama. If you are a BH fan, let me know because I want to get into the twitter drama. IMO, BH is the best of the RHs and I’m kind of sad that I have to wait each week for a new episode however I do have…

RHONY
I’m back on the Real Housewives of New York train. I’m in s3 and it should only take a me a year to fully catch up but I’m excited. Lots of drama right now between Jill and Bethenny and it’s going to be a great show to have on in the background as I do my work.

Ok shows but not great:

Too Hot To Handle
This is a trash show. It’s awful. Yet I can’t not watch it. I recently found out that one of the girls on the show this year is a friend of a friend and I am wildly curious. Frankly, I think THTH is trying to have that Love Island buzz but babe you’ll never be as good as LI.

Love, Victor
I want to love this because I loved Love ,Simon but I’m struggling to get into it. I feel like I need a rainy Sunday and a binge watch. Stay tuned, this might come back but right now it’s a DNF (did not finish).

Skip it:

The World’s Most Amazing Vacation Rentals
Not into this format at all. I watched two episodes to give it a try and it’s awful. A true Skip.

Baewatch Parental Guidance
So this is a trash show. I kind of love it, but it’s not worth your time. The basic idea is that a couple goes on vacation but their parents secretly watch them the whole time. You can watch an episode at a time which is nice, but I would only watch this show if there is truly nothing else to watch.

Rewatch central:

Criminal Minds
As per usual, I’m watching a murder show. I’m on S6 of the rewatch but I found myself slowly stopping the rewatch. I’ll probably park this until the fall. It feels like a ‘cold, dark night’ kind of show rather than a summer show. I still love it but it’s going on the shelf for a bit.

Made in Chelsea
I adore MIC. It’s a great show. Binky just had her baby which is exciting and I’m finally at the point where I’m no longer re-watching the old seasons and I’m watching seasons for the first time. This is a great show to watch if you are looking for something fun this summer.

What did you watch this month? Let me know in the comments or find me on twitter 🙂
