Is it a Christmas movie? Well… it takes place on Christmas Eve. It’s about a guy trying to get home in time to spend Christmas with his family. There is Christmas music. There are lots of Christmas references.

A classic example: “Now I have a machine gun.. ho ho ho.”

So I’m going to go ahead and join the team that says Die Hard is a Christmas movie.

Is it the kind of Christmas movie I like? Not really. I like my Christmas movies with muppets not machine guns – but Christmas is about doing things for the people you care about.

And if my friends like this movie – I’ll watch it over and over.
